Kepler Academy West Block is conveniently located in Glenora, with immediate access from Stony Plain Road and 142 Street. The centre boasts high ceilings and timber accents, complimenting the architecture of the building. Twelve classrooms are set up to create an enriched and optimal learning environment. Our centre offers a nature-inspired outdoor play space for children to explore year-round. We also provide a full menu of nutritious snacks and meals, to ensure children are fueled throughout the day. Through our Exploratory Education approach, Kepler Academy offers full-time educational child care and early learning for children 16 weeks to 6 years of age, as well as out-of-school care and transportation for 6 to 12 years. We follow a guided curriculum for all ages, allowing your child to advance in several critical areas. Kepler recruits qualified and experienced staff, that are fully certified and undergo regular training to ensure the very best care for your child. Transportation is provided to Crestwood School, Parkview School, Laurier Heights School, Grovenor School for the 2024-2025 school year. Please contact the centre for availability.

Sample food menu

Well-balanced nutrition is essential for healthy development in early childhood. At Kepler Academy, we provide an optimal mix of fresh, in-season fruit and vegetables, grains, meat and dairy servings, as recommended by the Canada Food Guide. Each day, a hearty lunch and two snacks are prepared on-site by our chefs, following recipes formulated by our in-house Registered Dietician, Megan Wallace. Megan works alongside our curriculum team to develop lesson plans around nutrition and supporting children in building healthy relationships with food. She also offers workshops for parents on family and childhood nutrition. Meet the director / owner

We are pleased to introduce Sunita Sharma, our Centre Director at Kepler Academy West Block. Sunita brings in diverse experience and knowledge to the childcare industry, after working in the field for more than 9 years, with all age groups. Sunita is from India; there, she worked as a Pediatric Nursing Clinical Instructor, training junior nurses in the program. When she moved to Edmonton, she earned her Early Learning & Childcare Diploma from Lakeland College in Vermillion. She joined Kepler Academy in March of 2018 as an educator. She accepted the role of Centre Director in 2019. Her teaching philosophy coincides with Kepler’s Exploratory Education approach. She believes in learning through play. He loves the quote, “In teaching we learn, and learning we teach.” There is so much we learn from kids every day. They help us to see things differently. Her aim is to provide quality care, teach and shape their children to bring out the best in them, and provide a safe, engaging learning environment to set them up for success at Kepler and beyond. Her passion is in connecting with parents, children, and her incredible team. In her free time, Sunita loves to be with her husband and her son, Ganeev. She loves poetry, singing, and reading, and being involved with the community. She especially loves hosting and joining social events and celebrations. Sunita loves being a part of the Kepler Family and looks forward to meeting you!
